Review Bid Recommendations – Stickney Project

Paul Williams and Jim Weber with Puetz, Inc. who was hired as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Corsica & Stickney projects met with the board to give them the results of recent bid opening for the Stickney site project. Bids came in higher than estimated. Williams and Weber assume the higher bids is due to the length of time the Stickney project will consume as well as increased commodity prices. Many contractors are also seeing increased building projects on the horizon due to the federal funding that is available so therefore are setting prices accordingly. The board has opted to look into various options as potential cost saving measures. Puetz will be contacting contractors and report back to the board on their findings.

There being no further business, at 7:40 p.m., motion by Van Gorp second by Plooster to adjourn. All members voted AYE. Motion carried. The next regular meeting date will be on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the study hall room of the Corsica-Stickney Elementary School.
