UNAPPROVED MINUTES OF OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS

SPECIAL MEETING – DECEMBER 1, 2021 – 6:00 P.M. – CLASSROOM “A” – CORSICA-STICKNEY HIGH SCHOOL

A Special Meeting of the Corsica-Stickney Board of Education was held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021– 6:00 p.m. in Classroom “A” of Corsica-Stickney High School.

Members Present: Jeremy Wright, President; Chad Clites, Roxann Gerlach, Micheal Plooster, Darci Neugebauer, Shannon Tolsma, & Jennifer Van Gorp

Officers Present: Scott Muckey, Superintendent; and Angie Feenstra, Business Manager.

Guests: Paul Williams and Jim Weber, Puetz.

President Wright called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. and a quorum was established.

Approve Agenda

Motion by Plooster second by Gerlach to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

There were no potential conflicts of interest.

Review Bid Recommendations – Corsica Project

Paul Williams and Jim Weber with Puetz, Inc. who was hired as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Corsica & Stickney projects met with the board to give them the results of recent bid opening for the Corsica site project. They were very pleased with the bids received and totals were slightly above the estimations that were given in August. Bids received were: Bid Package #1: General Construction—Puetz Design+Build--$227,350.00; Bid Package #2: Earthwork—VanderPol--$315,350.00; Bid Package #3: Concrete—Rexwinkel Concrete--$254,893.00; Bid package #4: Precast—Puetz Design+Build--$520,725.00; Bid package #5: Masonry—Williams Masonry-- $250,800.00; Bid package #6: Metals (Materials only) – Puetz Design+Build -- $469,000.00; Bid Package #7: Metals (Erection only) – Puetz Design+Build -- $165,348.00; Bid Package #8: Roofing/Metal Panels/Flashing – MJ Dalsin -- $365,422.00; Bid Package #9: Joint Sealants & Fire Stopping – Dakota Sealant -- $34,000.00; Bid Package #10: Aluminum Doors/Windows/Glazing – City Glass -- $74,148.00; Bid Package # 11: Gypsum Wall Systems – Sands -- $200,000.00; Bid Package #13: Acoustical Panels/Ceilings – F.M. Acoustical -- $57,170.35; Bid Package #14: Wood Sports Floors – JWood -- $124,000.00; Bid Package #15: Floor Coverings – CID -- $55,965.00; Bid Package #16: Fluid-Applied Flooring – Rexwinkel Concrete -- $10,310.00; Bid Package #17: Painting – Nagel Painting -- $55,900.00; Bid Package #18: Gymnasium Equipment – Combined Building -- $49,565.00; Bid Package #19: Bleachers – Combined Building -- $64,876.00; Bid Package #20: Fire Suppression – Xtreme Fire Protection -- $41,950.00; Bid Package #21: Plumbing – Krohmer Plumbing -- $269,716.00; Bid Package #22: HVAC – Paulson’s -- $397,400.00; Bid Package #23: Electrical – Electric Construction -- $333,400.00. Motion by Tolsma second by Van Gorp to accept all bids for the Corsica Auxiliary Gym/Classroom addition. ROLL CALL VOTE: Aye – Clites, Gerlach, Neugebauer, Plooster, Tolsma, Van Gorp, and Wright; Nay – None; Motion carried.

Adjourn

There being no further business, at 7:08 p.m., motion by Gerlach second by Neugebauer to adjourn. Motion carried. The next regular meeting date will be on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in the study hall room of the Corsica-Stickney Elementary School.
