SPECIAL MEETING – JUNE 27, 2018 – 7:30 A.M. – STUDY HALL ROOM – CORSICA-STICKNEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

A Special Meeting of the Corsica-Stickney Board of Education was held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 – 7:30 a.m. in the Study Hall Room of Corsica-Stickney Elementary School.

Members Present: Jeremy Wright, President; Chad Clites, Shannon Tolsma, Jennifer Van Gorp & Don Odens.

Members Absent: Jason Lagge & Nicole Bamberg

Officers Present: Scott Muckey, Superintendent and Angie Feenstra, Business Manager.

President Wright called the meeting to order at 7:38 a.m. and a quorum was established.

Approve Agenda

Motion by Van Gorp seconded by Tolsma to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

There were no conflicts of interest to disclose.

Approval of Bills

Motion by Odens seconded by Clites to approve the June 27, 2018 listing of bills. Motion carried.

Motion by Tolsma seconded by Clites to approve the contingency transfers and cash on hand to fund the FY 2018 budget. UPON ROLL CALL VOTE: Aye –Tolsma, Van Gorp, Clites, Odens & Wright. Nay - None. (Bamberg & Lagge absent). Motion carried, resolution adopted.

Surplus School Property

Motion by Tolsma seconded by Van Gorp to declare a list of old books and miscellaneous supplies as surplus property. Motion carried.

Worker’s Compensation Insurance

Motion by Tolsma seconded by Van Gorp to accept the Worker’s Compensation quote of $10,144 from First Dakota Indemnity Company. This will be a savings of approximately $7,159 per year. Motion carried.

Adjourn

There being no further business, at 7:59 a.m., motion by Tolsma seconded by Van Gorp to adjourn. Motion carried. The next regular meeting date will be Monday, July 9, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in Classroom “A” of the Corsica-Stickney High School with the budget hearing preceding the meeting at 7:15 p.m..
