UNAPPROVED MINUTES OF OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS

SPECIAL MEETING – JUNE 7, 2017 – 7:00 P.M. – STUDY HALL ROOM – CORSICA-STICKNEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

 

A Special Meeting of the Corsica-Stickney Board of Education was held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 – 7:00 p.m. in the study hall room of Corsica-Stickney Elementary School. 

 

Members Present: Jeremy Wright, President; Chad Clites (arrived at 7:27 p.m.), Bob Bamberg, Shannon Tolsma, Jason Lagge, & Don Odens.

Members Absent: Nicole Bamberg

Officers Present:  Scott Muckey, Superintendent; Andrew Fergen, Secondary Principal; Ferra Kemp, Elementary Principal and Angie Feenstra, Business Manager.

Guests Present: Patrons of the Community and representatives with Governors’ Housing Program

 

President Wright called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. and a quorum was established. 

 

Governor Housing Project Informational Public Meeting

Another public meeting was held in regards to the governors housing project in hoping to get more public input.  Dave Lambert was available to field questions and explain the program more. After much discussion it was determined to move forward with one governors home at this time.  Motion by B. Bamberg seconded by Lagge to purchase the governor home as presented by the Corsica Development Corporation.  The home will be a 3 bedroom/2 bath with attached 2 stall garage and unfinished basement.  The home will be put in the development area on the south side of Corsica.  Motion carried.

 

Adjourn

There being no further business, at 8:10 p.m., motion by Tolsma seconded by Lagge to adjourn.  Motion carried.  The next regular meeting date will be Monday June 19, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the study hall room of the Corsica-Stickney Elementary School.  There will be a special meeting on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. in Classroom “A” of the Corsica-Stickney High School to canvass the election results.
