UNAPPROVED MINUTES OF OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS

SPECIAL MEETING – MARCH 18, 2015 – 6:33 P.M. – CLASSROOM “A”

A Special Meeting of the Corsica-Stickney Board of Education was held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 6:33 p.m. in Classroom “A” of the Corsica High School. Purpose of this meeting was to interview applicants for the business manager position.

Members Present: Jeremy Wright, Chad Clites, Bob Bamberg, Shannon Tolsma, Jason Lagge, Nicole Bamberg, Don Odens.

Officers Present: Scott Muckey, Corsica High School Principal; Ferra Kemp, Stickney Elementary Principal; Merna Bye, Corsica School Business Manager; MaryLee Podhradsky, Stickney School Business Manager.

President Wright called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. and a quorum was established.

Approve Agenda

Motion by Nicole Bamberg seconded by Shannon Tolsma to approve the agenda with the additions as presented. Carried.

Property Insurance Package

Discussion was held on property insurance for the Corsica-Stickney School District.

Administrative Assistants

Phone Interviews will be conducted for the administrative assistant applicants for the Corsica-Stickney School District.

Executive Session SDCL 1-25-2 (1) Personnel

A 7:00 p.m. motion by Jason Lagge seconded by Chad Clites to go into executive session to interview applicants for the Corsica –Stickney Business Manager Position. Carried. Board Member Jeremy Wright excused himself at this time during the interviews. Mr. Wright returned to executive session at 8:35 p.m. following the interviews. President Wright declared out of executive session at 9:52 p.m.

Business Manager Contract

Motion by Shannon Tolsma seconded by Jason Lagge to offer a contract to Angie Feenstra for the Corsica-Stickney School District #21-3 Business Manager position. UPON ROLL CALL VOTE: Ayes-Chad Clites, Shannon Tolsma, Jason Lagge, Nicole Bamberg, Don Odens. (Jeremy Wright and Bob Bamberg abstained from voting.) Motion carried.

Adjourn

There being no further business, at 10:00 p.m., motion by Jason Lagge seconded by Bob Bamberg to adjourn. Carried.
