UNAPPROVED MINUTES OF OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS

SPECIAL MEETING –Monday, May 18, 2015 7:30 P.M.

A Special Meeting of the Corsica-Stickney Board of Education was held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 7:30 P.M. in Classroom A of the Corsica High School.

Members Present: Jeremy Wright, President, Bob Bamberg, Chad Clites, Shannon Tolsma, Jason Lagge, Nicole Bamberg, Don Odens.

Officers Present: Scott Muckey, Corsica Secondary Principal, MaryLee Podhradsky, Stickney School Business Manager; Merna Bye, Corsica School Business Manager.

Guest Present: Angela Feenstra, Corsica-Stickney School Business Manager; Scott Swier, Corsica-Stickney School Attorney and Kris Van Zee, Globe Reporter

President Jeremy Wright called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and declared a quorum present.

Approve Agenda

Motion by Nicole Bamberg to approve the agenda with the addition of an executive session for legal matters. Seconded by Bob Bamberg and carried.

Executive Session (SDCL 1:25:2:3) Legal

At 7:32 p.m., motion by Shannon Tolsma seconded by Jason Lagge to go into executive session with Corsica-Stickney School Attorney, Scott Swier, for a legal matter. Carried. Delared out of executive session by President Wright at 8:23 p.m.

Review 2015-2016 Corsica-Stickney Preliminary Budget

Updated figures for the 2015-2016 Preliminary Budget of the Corsica-Stickney School District were reviewed by the Board of Education.

Executive Session (SDCL 1:25:2:4) Negotiations

At 9:08 p.m. motion by Bob Bamberg seconded by Jason Lagge to go into executive session to discuss negotiations. Carried. Declared out of executive session by President Wright at 10:55 p.m.

Coaching Agreements

Motion by Nicole Bamberg seconded by Chad Clites to issue coaching agreements for the 2015-2016 school year: Geri Olson for Ass’t/7/8 Volleyball ($1,750.00); Dennisha Johannsen for Ass’t/7/8 Volleyball ($1,750.00) and Letha VanVuuren for Head Girls Track ($3,400.00). Motion carried.

Adjourn

There being no further business, at 11:03 p.m., motion by Bob Bamberg seconded by Jason Lagge to adjourn. Carried.
